I live nearby and get takeout all the time and it's great, but eating there is where it's at-BYOB and super casual-food comes out FAST and HOT and is SO MUCH BETTER than takeout. “ Amazing place with good service. For 13 dollars I got a Mongolian beef with chow mein and a soup. And for 14 dollars or so I got a walnut shrimp. This place knows how to get their seasoning right and the food didnt feel too oily. This is what a chinese takeout should be like @all the other bay area restaurants. To all the other chinese takeout restaurants... Cut the fancy bs just make a good cheap dish. Come to Hot Wok Bistro, this place will get u right. Honey walnut shrimp could have been a little more. “ We are from out of state and decided our first night in town that we wanted chinese for dinner. This place did not disappoint! The inside is cute, a lot of photos hanging up on the walls. It is on the smaller side but there is plenty of seating. My boyfriend and I ordered fried wontons for an appetizer, chicken chow mein to share, he ordered the honey walnut shrimp and I got the mongolian beef. Wow! The portions were huge, we shared all of the food and then had leftovers to take for later. The fried wontons had a pork vegetable mix in them which was so yummy. My mongolian beef had the right amount of spice and the perfect amount of onions, and the chicken chow mein had big chunks of chicken and the sauce was outstanding. The service was great and everyone was so nice. We will definitely be going back when we are in town. ”

“ Great and quick service. The food is good, you must start with the pot stickers! My favorite by far. We love their beef chow mein it's very flavorful. I posted a picture of the salt & pepper chicken, but it was too salty and it wasn't our typical S&P chicken that I'm used to from other restaurants. The honey walnut prawns is good too. The place is loud as there is constant pick up orders. Good business! ”

“ We were outside 10min before the store opens. But we weren't the first customers. As soon as the restaurant opens all the other people were pouring down into the restaurant from out of nowhere lol I tried so many Chinese places and this is one of the best place for it! The staffs are very friendly and it looked like most of the customers were regular there. If I lived near this place, it would be my go-to Chinese restaurant. The Szechuan dish was so crispy but not that spicy. The combination fried rice had the perfect seasoning. They have plenty of tables, there are more rooms inside. ”

“ Was craving Chinese food on a Friday evening. In the area and decided to give this place a try. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. The moment you walk in you see a ton of photos all over the walls and the numerous awards they have received. We were friendly greeted and seated right away by our friendly server. We ordered won ton soup, chow fun noodles, fried rice, Mongolian beef, general tso chicken, and honey glazed prawns. Everything was super delicious. They do a lot of take-out orders but they do have a dining area. There is plenty of street parking and accessibility. They also have tables outside to dine. Give them a try, they won't disappoint at all. Highly recommend. ”

“ Not gonna lie, I had absolutely zero expectations for this restaurant when my friend suggested to get lunch here. In fact, based on the name Hot Wok Bistro alone, I was actually preparing for disappointment. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I came by! Restaurant is larger than it looks from the outside, with additional tables past the kitchen. Honey walnut shrimp was delicious, mongolian beef was tender and spicy although too much onion, and the tan tan noodles were saucy and hit the spot. I'll definitely be back. ”
